The
iPad 2 is the second version of the iPad - a highly portable tablet computer designed for web access, email, music,
movies and other multimedia applications, falling somewhere between a laptop and a smartphone. It shares many features
of the iPhone & iPod Touch but with a much larger display. Like the iPod & iPhone, it only runs applications
downloaded from Apple's App Store but it does come with a full featured web browser & email program and a selection
of utilities that enable it to fulfil most people's needs straight out of the box.

Something to be aware of when buying an iPad: There are three different generations of iPad - the original iPad 1, the second iPad 2 and the latest iPad 3 and they are often all referred to as just 'iPad' so make sure you know which version you are buying!
