The iPod that can store the most songs on it is the iPod classic. It has a 160GB hard drive allowing up to 40,000 songs. This is a popular choice among people who have a really big music collection as it can comfortably house plenty of albums. It comes in either black or white and has a menu that is easy to navigate. The sound quality is amazing and has a range of games to keep you entertained. This is in the top price range of the iPod range but isn’t the most expensive. The newer models can be bought for around £200 whereas older models can be picked up on eBay between £70 and £100.
The newest addition to the iPod family is the iPod Touch. It brought a whole new way of interacting with the device by the power of touch. It has built in sensors to allow for a new way of gaming. It also has built in Wi-Fi which enabled you to surf the Internet, download new apps from the Apple app store and read, write and send e-mails all from your iPod. This comes with an 8GB, 32GB or 64GB hard drive which gives plenty of space for music, films, photos and apps. Prices for the new models range from £152 for the 8GB model, £234 for the 32GB version and up to £306 for the 64GB model. Secondhand older models can be found for around £80 to £100 on eBay making this an affordable good piece of kit. This is one of the most expensive iPods but its incredible features, internet connectivity and innovative user interface make it a very desirable item that will probably exceed your expectations and needs.
New or used?
You might be asking yourself whether you should get a brand new iPod or a second hand one. The second hand ones are obviously cheaper and work just as well as the brand new ones. If you prefer to be the first person to lay hands on the bodywork of a new piece of kit then forking out the extra money for a new one could be for you. eBay has a hundreds of iPods for sale and at very fair prices. Every iPod comes with a one year warranty so check with the seller how old it is. Also, you can buy further warranty for as little as £25 depending on the model of the iPod. Also, on Apple’s website they have a list of refurbished items which you might be able to buy for a greatly reduced price.
